Little Generation Day Care offers several different programs for children ages 2 ½ to 12. Hours of operation for childcare are 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. We provide 3 meals and 3 snacks every day that is regulated by the USDA. All children will receive the same quality of care and will not be separated by funding.

ODE FREE Preschool:

This is a FREE preschool program funded through the Ohio Department of Education that is designed to prepare children who are going to Kindergarten the next year. Children must be 4 by September 30th to enroll in this program for the current/upcoming school year. Families may choose from either A.M. class or P.M. class for the year. A.M. class is in session 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and P.M. class are in session 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All ODE  preschool classes take place Monday – Thursday from mid-September through May. In addition to the enrollment application and questionnaire, please be sure to bring the following documents to see if you qualify for this program: birth certificate, proof of income for a month or tax return, social security card or printout, medical insurance card, and 3 proofs of residency. This program allows families to make double the income that some other programs allow.

ODE Preschool + Extended Hours:

We provide a large discount for extended hours for any family who enrolls their child in the ODE Preschool program and needs additional care outside of the regular preschool class time. Little Generation Early Preschool 3: This preschool program is designed to help families who have children who will not be 4 years old by the cutoff date and will NOT qualify for the ODE Preschool program. This will be the same class session options, school year, and weekly schedule as the ODE program. Discounted rates apply.

Subsidized Childcare through Job & Family Services:

We accept JFS subsidies for children ages 2 ½ to 12. Families who are working/going to school and qualify with their income may receive subsidized childcare through the Department of Job & Family Services. To qualify, please turn in an application for childcare benefits to the Department of Job & Family Services. They may take up to 30 days to process this application. JFS will determine a weekly co-pay.

Private Pay:

Families who do not qualify for any of the above programs may enroll in our Private Pay program for children ages 2 ½ to 12.

Before & After School Programs for School Age Children:

We provide transportation to and from our center for our school-age children. Children in this program may be enrolled through either Job & Family Services or Private Pay.

Transportation is provided for the following schools:

Bennett Venture Academy, Whittier, Larchmont, Longfellow, Jackman, Greenwood, Meadowvale, Shoreland, Ottawa River, Central Academy, Blessed Sacrament, and Rosary Cathedral. The following schools currently may provide busing to our site: Old West End, Grove Patterson, and Ella P. Stewart Academy. Please contact your child’s school to ensure transportation.

Summer Program for School Age Children:

We provide summer programming for a large school age group that includes: field trips, picnic lunches, playground time on our rocket ship playground, gym time, projects and crafts, hands-on learning activities, etc. Children in this program may be enrolled through either Job & Family Services or Private Pay and must have completed Kindergarten.

Summer Program for Preschool-Age Children:

Preschool children will be provided many of the same summer opportunities as the school-age children. Their program also includes field trips, picnic lunches, playground time on our rocket ship playground, gym time, projects and crafts, hands-on learning activities, etc. Children in this program may be enrolled through either Job & Family Services or Private Pay and have not yet entered Kindergarten.
